Conferences and Workshop

    South Ural IEEE Chapter is the co-founder of annual International Conferences in cooperation with different universities:
    1. International Conference on Industrial Engineering, Applications and Manufacturing;
    2. International Ural Conference on Electrical Power Engineering (UralCon);
    3. International Russian Automation Conference (RusAutoCon);
    4. International Russian Smart Industry Conference (SmartIndustryCon).

    The conferences are devoted to discussion of the latest achievements in the field of industrial engineering. It is held every year in Russian Federation. The conference is organized to promote interdisciplinary discussion and the presentation of research papers, summarizing research in technical disciplines in universities, research institutes, large industrial enterprises, scientific and industrial associations of the Russian Federation, as well as foreign authors, and research results obtained on the personal initiative of the authors.

    The aim of the conference is to promote informing the scientists and practitioners of the most promising areas of research and achievements in the field of industrial engineering.

    Languages of the conferences: English and Russian.

    In 2018, South Ural IEEE Chapter both Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin (Yekaterinburg, Russia) is the organizer of the 17th International Ural Conference on AC Electric Drives. In 2018 and 2020, South Ural IEEE Chapter together with South Ural State University (national research university) is the organizer of the Global Smart Industry Conference.

    South Ural IEEE Chapter together with Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University is the co-organizater of the annual IEEE Russian Workshop on Power Engineering and Automation of Metallurgy Industry: Research & Practice.

    The goal of the Workshop is developing communication between young scientists engaged in research in the field of electrical engineering, electronics, energy and industrial automation as well as providing a platform for scientific discussion and exchange of experiences.

    Workshops topics:
    1. Automatic Electric Drive;
    2. Industrial Processes Control and Automation;
    3. Power Electronics;
    4. Electrical Machines;
    5. Power Supply System;
    6. Renewable Energy.

    Languages of the workshop: English and Russian.
